It was amazing, how many people had actually survived.
Crisp blue eyes stayed forever focused on the crowd that rested around her, the mass amount of survivors and psychopaths that swarmed around her taking the time to glance at her every change they had. She remained Silent and speechless, the only sign of life in her resting in the suttle movements she made whist observing the wild beast that is man. People screaming, yelling laughing and crying. the piercing sound of a crying Toddler, lost and abandoned without her Parents. How devastating, how horrible a sight for most. This world, is going to hell. And Rainne was in the middle, dragging everyone down by their feet.
Rainne rested on a fountain that was in the center of this place. She sat around the edge, where many of the people with nothing better to do where resting. She was wearing the same thing she was wearing before she and her friends where attacked -- Jeans ripped to no end with Safety pins, bondage, patches and anything else you could imagine on them. Fishnet, and a black shirt that fit smugly around her body. Sitting Indian style on the edge of the Fountain, Rainne kept her pale hands in her lap, wrapped tightly around a black pistol -- the last memory or thought of the things she had just done, and the things that where to come. She, had killed a boy, and a girl -- the two happening to be her best Friends. And she was suppose to be their Doctor.
The Schizophrenic looked down at the pistol, holding it up to glance at it. Black it was, scuffed and tattered from the many uses it had in Bobby's Possession. She remembered it Clearly now. They were on the outside of the Mall, they were attacked and everyone else was killed, except for Those three -- Rainne, Bobby, and Heather. Both of them terribly injured, she just fine. It attempt to save everyone else Bobby had given her the gun, and instructed to kill them. Never one to say no, she shot them. Dead center in the forehead -- and the proof was on Rainne's clothes. Still blood stained. She wondered, if she could not save them with all her medical talents, how was she to save these people who where injured?
Rule # 1 in Medicine :: Do not doubt your abilities. Ever.
Sighing, Rainne sat normally on the side of the fountain and removed her shoes before rolling up her jeans. She took one more glance around at all the people before turning around, and putting her feet in the fountain, placing the gun at her side. Great. Just Peachy Rainne rang that voice in her head as she washed off her hands and arms, ditch the stench of death from her body. you just had to become the Doctor. Now, we have to save these annoyances instead of torch them. She should just through them out to the infested. she hissed, Rainne doing the best to ignore the sadistic orders from her other side. Cupping her hands she filled them with water before splashing some on her face, trying to wash away the thoughts. It was hopeless. Resting her arms on her Legs, Rainne looked at her reflection in the Fountain before turning the focus of her Blue eyes back to that Pretty pistol resting next to her.

"You look troubled," a voice rang from the left of her, a man was walking toward her, he had two steaming cups,"Would ya like some?"
He put one of the cups out in offer to her, the smell of coffee reeked the air from it, he lifted his own cup to his lips and sipped from it, both of his hands were wrapped in medical tape, blood stained both. He had a small bandage on the corner of his left eye brow as it covered a recent wound. He didn't remember how he got the cut, but both of his knucles were busted open from rescue missions, and having to beat back the undead with his bare fists at times.
The mans features didn't show that he was a bad person, his appearal on the other hand said other wise, his black pants were baggy, his shirt was slightly over sized on his slim frame, on the back of it was his picture with a X on the left cheek of it, anyone who lived the area knew him to be a famous artist when it came to music. His white sneekers wern't white anymore, red spots covered them as blood stained the material of them.
The mall he found ironic, a place he was taken into, a place that made him happy most of the time, now a place that was trying to eat him... He wondered if his sister was still alive in California, mostly he wondered how fast the infection spread, it is said that in over 30 hours that the whole country was infected and parts of the world that were heavily populated. The mass suicide rate in China wasn't helping any.
"'ey, you alright?"

Troubled? Well, everyone here seems troubled -- bruised egos and scratched Memories. But it was the only thing someone could expect when being in a place like this, being in this situation. Rainne, was as alright as she could have ever been, having another side of her that never made her completely trouble - free. And believe it or not, her situation at the moment could be worse. when the voice came from her side, She was not startled, only a bit surprised. A man, stood with two steamy cups of Coffee. She smirked -- not only did she recognized the man as X -- but the sole fact she had no eaten or had anything to drink in sometime made his presences something of a gift.
She didn't say a word, merely turned herself around so she was no longer soaking her legs in the water. She rolled her Jeans down and tucked a piece of Blond hair behind her ears before taking the cup of coffee from him, pressing the cup between her lips and taking in the sweet aroma. It tasted so sweet to her -- even though the coffee itself was horrid. She smiled to him, still remaining silent as she gestured to the seat next to her for him to sit. Her blue eyes stayed focused on him to see if he would sit, and she noted the tattered medical tape resting on his hands, and the poorly bandaged wound on the corner of his left eye. She didn't give him a chance to sit down, and stood up immediately and reached into a bag beside her -- placing her gun in it, and puling out a small box.
She pulled out some bandages, a rag and medical tape, as well as some medical cremes and such. She blinked, noting how much taller he was then she, and took the cup of coffee from his hands and placed it on the ground before standing on the edge of the fountain, and started removing the bandage from his left eye, and tossing it down to the ground carelessly. What an arse. He's going to get an infection. Can't these people do anything right? whinnied her other side, but she thought nothing of it. She dipped the Rag into the fountain before starting to clean off the wound, and bandaging it up with a clean bandage. She sighed a bit, but still remained silent as she reached for one of his hands, proceeding to re-bandage it up as well. She hoped that he didn't think of her right to silence a bit odd -- it probably would be best for everyone is she didn't talk anyways.
Rainne flashed him a small smile, before tossing yet another careless bandage to the ground.
[[ Just so you know, anything in Maroon is her other personality talking or thinking. ^^ ]]

"Uh. . . Thanks I suppose," he said lowly and sipped the Coffee. Truely he didn't think anything of it, if she wished to be silent then so be it, many others were doing the same as it seemed so. He took a large gulp of Coffee and finished it.
Looking over his shoulder he noticed too many people were still in panic even when safe. Turning back to her he dropped his cup, it hit the top of his foot and flipped over off it onto it's bottem with a loud clattering sound.
"So, uh, I'm Jason... X if you know me," he began trying to break the silence.

Rainne just responded in a nod, her attention focused intently on the wound that was on his hand. She gave a small grunt, ripping off some medical tape and wrapping the new bandage securely in place. Bandaging up someone wasn't anything to really be thanking someone for, after all. It was a simple task -- and idiot could do it properly. She reached for his other hand and started to re-bandage it as she did all the others. Taking a quick glance over his shoulder she noticed the mass chaos that seemed to still be wondering around in the Mall, even though the people where perfectly safe. How troublesome. Don't they know there is no other place they are going to be safe? Please Rainne, let me take that scalpel and slit all their throats -- then we can enjoy the silence... bought out of thought but the ringing of a cup, Rainne blinked looking down.
His coffee cup rested on the ground below them, and it startled her a bit when she heard it fall. Looking back to his hand she noticed it was done, and let go of it before getting off the side of the fountain and took a seat. Its Human Nature to panic in a state of Fear. get over it Rainne hissed in thought to her other side before looking back to X. She smirked when he introduced himself -- that kind of smirk that made people wonder what you where thinking. She already knew who he was. She had listened to his music many times before. picking up her cup of coffee, her hands wrapped tightly around it she spoke "Rainne" was all she offered, a British accent ringing through all the noise as she took a sip of the coffee.

"I see," he said watching her, his newly bandaged hand tightened it was much more comfortable then the quick twenty second bandaging he'd done while running. He'd had a migrain a while before, those came often when it came to thinking about what was going on now. Coming from Jamaica he'd heard of Voodoo that brought the dead back to life, but never believed in it.
Now of all times was when he'd pray to the gods he didn't believe in, the time where he'd believe anything when the dead stood up and searched for food. He sighed and shuffled his feet, of course he'd broken the silence between the two, for about 20 seconds or so, but it seemed he was unsuccessfull in his attempt.
His job was tiresome, escorting survivors through the mall, getting people that arrived from the outside world looking for refuge, it was all tiresome, yet Mr. Cash had faith in him, or atleast X hoped.

The silence between the two was piercing and awkward to say the least. The only filler that seemed to keep Rainne comfortable was the hysteria that seemed to be flooding through the Mall. Was it wrong to think that the cries, screams, and panic was normal, and comforting? theres something wrong in that thought, and Rainne knew that. But now, this just feels like home. Sighing, Rainne noticed the attempted silence breaker when X had scuffed his feet and let out a sigh. Rainne smirked, finishing up her coffee before scooting over and glancing to the seat beside her. "Take a seat M'dear. you look tired" she told him, placing the cup down on the ground beside her.
Though it did go against her better judgment, Rainne figured that if she was to trust anyone here, it mine as well be X. She had heard of his works, and he seemed like the guy who anyone could more or less depend on. He, will most likely be the only one Rainne will talk to voluntarily. Everyone will be forced, her being the only Doctor around this god Forsaken place. It was odd, how Mr. Cash seemed to trust her. Many other people would never let her patch them up, in fear of her other side coming out and killing them. Pity, they will just have to die more slowly then. Blue eyes looking back around at the crowd once more, she spoke again.
"Tell me something -- anything about yourself, your life before this, family, your music -- anything at all" it was an odd request from the young women, but she explained herself. "No matter what it is, it has to be better then listening to the cries of these people..." she concluded, looking to X, waiting for him to talk.

"I hate talking about the past," he began when sitting down,"But I suppose I could humor you and myself." He cleared his throat and leaned forward picking up the coffee cup he'd dropped earlier.
"Well, lets just say my family is all but lost, only person I'm in tune with is my sis, she's in california... Well that's where she was," He stiffled a yawn inbetween his words,"I don't suppose it's been a bad life, I mean I got the money, I got the fame, and I really don't want all this fame... But it's what's helping me get them through the dead and here."

Rainne Smirked a bit, adjusting her sitting position on the Fountain so she was sitting Indian style -- something she did often. her blood Stained Cons still resting on the floor below her, she looked at them while listening to what he had to say. She nodded a bit listening to his explanation. The past -- something she did not like talking about either. Those who live in the past cant move forward right? Who wants to move to the future in this hell whole anyways Rainne? get over it snapped a voice, and Rainne knew she was piratically right. But, liked to keep the hope. "Well. Its better to talk about the past then the present" was all she offered before listening to his story about his family, his life in general.
"I take it fame and fortune is overrated. Always felt that way personally, don't know about you" Rainne told him, the silence seeming to be fading as they chatted a bit. "I tried making it once. Almost did too, back home in London. that was, until I realized that life wouldn't be the same if I did" she shrugged, before letting out a small laugh. "I'd probably still be there, dead right now" she shook her head a bit, before looking back to him. "I take it Cash gave you a job of helping the survivors out, right?" she questioned, making a guess from his explanation and wounds.

He scratched the back of his head for a moment after listening to her, then finally noticed she asked him a question,"Oh, what? Oh yeah, he did. Just that I'm more of a free runner then a rescue team, I work better alone then with others. Jus' that my job here is a pain in the ass."
He let out a long sigh then finally said,"And yah, Fame is overrated, but the fortune part isn't so bad."

Rainne nodded. She knew exactly what he meant about working alone. Personally, she didn't want a second hand piece of shit nitwit helping her do her work, or she would most likely end up getting blamed for their damn screw up. Funny how the world works. "Well, your not the only one he got to. You looking at the only Doctor -- well, person qualified for a Doctor -- for only go knows how far. So I pretty much have to fix everyone here. Sad part being not everyone here is repairable" she shrugged, resting her hands on her lap.
She smirked at his next comment. "I don't think anyone would be complaining if they made that much money" she told him with a slight nod. "Money makes the world go round, sadly. Pity too, money turns even the most respect of men into idiots. Don't they know that money is just made to be spent?" she shook her head a bit in disgust with not only them but herself. Rainne and her damned new age philosophy. "Pardon my Ranting M'dear" she told him, letting out a Small sigh as she glanced around.
Looked like things might be starting to get quiet.

"Not even money will save the world of this bull shit," he began,"you can't pay off zombies, and you can't pay the military that doesn't exist anymore. Man, I liked my life before it came to this shit, before all da zombies and all da fans."
X stood finally and streatched his arms,"'Ey, you need any supplies? 'Cause I'm about to make the long run for some Medicine and such."

Rainne gave a small smirk. She liked X -- he wasn't anything like the other celebrities she had come in contact with over in London. He might be the only person she will be able to trust in this place. Looking around a bit before turning the attention of her piercing blue eyes back to X, she shrugged. "I've always looked at Life differently -- almost like looking at it through an illusion mirror. but now" Rainne started, taking a glance up at the ceiling, seeing the corpse of a man resting on the glass window above them. "Seems like we are in the illusion now" She shrugged, looking back to X before smirking. "I think the Zombies are the fans, and the fans are zombies. I mean, look at the place" she said, gesturing around with her hand. Pity. Rainne was right.
Rainne blinked a bit at him, the offer to good to refuse. Nodding, she stood to her feet and rolled her shoulders back, a painful crack ringing through the chattering mall. "I could use a lot of stuff" Rainne told him, picking up her bag and opening it up, pulling out her pistol and putting it in her belt before heaving her bag over her shoulder -- she needed something to put the stuff in, right? Stellar. Absolutely Stellar. Hopefully, we will get to shoot a zombie or two... Rang that sadistic Voice, but the last thing Rainne wanted to see was more of that red liquid. She had seen enough. "You Goin'?" He asked hoping she'd say no, he was one of those who rathered work alone. Then again, if she came it would be easy to get back and forth. He'd have to do better planning as well, a more empty route to the Medical Depot and back.
